When can we come and when do we have to leave?

Check-in time is at 10:00 a.m. on the day of arrival and check-out is at 4:00 pm on the day of departure. Times can be extended with owner approval. Nobody knows better than us how precious crafting time is!

Will I have my own bed?

Yes! There are 15 individual twin sized beds so nobody has to share, and there are no bunks. We picked out the comfiest mattresses we could find and paired them with luxurious sheets, a cozy comforter and pillows. Check out our floor plan on the House page for bed arrangements.

What will we eat?

Your group can choose to make their own meals, have them all catered, or have a little bit of both! Our kitchen is fully stocked and ready for any meals that your group might want to cook up yourselves. If you decide you don’t want to worry about meals, just contact us and we can give you the name and numbers of some local caterers.

We don’t have fifteen people in our group, now what?

You don’t have to have fifteen people in your group to rent out the retreat, but since the cost is the same regardless of group size it would help to lower the individual cost. This is where the “Discussions” tab on our Facebook page comes in! There you can look for other groups that have openings or leave a comment so people can contact you!

Will I have enough space to craft?

Each person will have their very own 5’ by 2 ½’ table to craft at. Plenty of room to get your craft on!

How do I make a reservation?

First check our availability calendar here. If the weekend you would like to book is available just send us an e-mail! We’ll give you further direction from there.

Do you have any cool tools and gadgets for us to use?

Of course we do! We have two Cricut Expressions machines and the Sizzix Big Shot just to name a few. Check out our full list of items available for use here. We are always adding new items for you to use!

What is the payment/cancellation policy?

A $250 deposit is due within two weeks of the reservation date. The balance due must be paid in full 30 days prior to your stay to avoid forfeiting your reservation and deposit. Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to the reservation date will receive full deposit refund. Cancellation made 30 to 60 days prior to reservation date will be refunded 50% of deposit. Cancellations made less then 30 days prior to reservation date are non-refundable.

Do you keep a waiting list?

Yes we do! If you notice that the weekend you would like is reserved, let us know and we will put your name on a waiting list. We will then contact you if we get a cancellation.

Where the heck is Forest Haven Retreat?

We are located about 4 miles north of Sebeka, MN, which is 14 miles north of Wadena and 21 miles south of Park Rapids. Check out our map here for further directions.

Are non-scrapbookers/quilters welcome at Forest Haven Retreat?

Everyone is welcome at Forest Haven Retreat! You don’t even have to be a crafter. Come and enjoy a quite place to stay with the family, get together with friends, or have a business meeting here. It’s a great place for everything and anything!

How about smoking and pets?

Sorry, we are a smoke free and pet free facility. No pets or animals of any kind and smoking is permitted outside only.

Is there internet access?

Yes, we have high speed wireless internet access.

Do you have plenty of parking space?

Yes we do. No need for everyone to carpool. Come and go as you like.
